We investigate the evolutionary processes involving isolated or rapidly expanding populations. We are particularly interested upon specific adaptations in populations under strong selective pressures. Our main models are varied: mammals, such as wild boar, reptiles, such as lizards and birds in some cases. We make use of field and laboratory data and techniques such as observation, morphology and genetics. We try to realize my studies so that result can serve as useful tools for conservation biology.
